The introductory ceremony of the new CEO and members of the board of directors of Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company and honoring the former CEO and board members of the company was held on November 27, 2021 in the presence of Abdolhossein Bayat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oil Industry Pension Funds.
According to the company’s public relations, Abdolhossein Bayat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oil Industry Pension Funds, in the introductory ceremony of the new members of the Board, Introduced Mr. Mohammad Reza Zahiri as the new IOEC’s CEO, Alireza Zeighami, as the new Chairman of the Board and Mehdi Norahmadi as the new member of the board, and appreciated the services and efforts of Mr. Saeed Vafapour, the former CEO and former members of the board of directors of the company.
Emphasizing the need to support the private sector in order to obey the orders of Imam Khomeini and the flourishing of the resistance economy for the country in order to implement the policies ordered by Supreme Leader, he added: “Since the establishment of this company, many managers have made great efforts to promote offshore knowledge and capabilities and turn this company into an international known brand.” He added that human resources of this company have well developed thanks to valuable measures have been taken during last years and there are still opportunities to strengthen and create fruitful solutions in this regard.
Mr. Bayat said that the purpose of these changes is to strengthen the company’s senior management and improve its position in the region and create extensive areas of work and competition for the Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company and explained: The human being always needs change and change is not unpleasant at all, as we have in the hadiths that if a person has two similar days, it will not be useful.
Introducing the new board of directors of the company, referring to the extensive experience of Dr. Zahiri in various upstream oil companies such as Abadan refinery, OIEC, Pars Oil and Gas company and Oil Exploration Operations Company, as well as the presence of Mr. Zeighami, with a wealth of experience in the general management of the oil industry and also the presence of Dr. Nourahmadi, who is completely familiar with different aspects of IOEC due to his past experience in this company, addressed the managers of IOEC group that: with the presence of skilled resources, Specialized and capabilities in Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company, as in the past, be cohesive, focused and sympathetic, with the prospect of a leap to collect demands, winning more projects and develop target markets inside and outside of Iran.
The Chairman of the Board of Oil Industry Pension Funds also pointed out: The managers of this group should make necessary efforts to extend the foot print of business to outside of Iran so that to be the honor of the nation.
I am no stranger to IOEC company
Mohammad Reza Zahiri, the new CEO of Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company, in this meeting, referred to the history of his past cooperation and familiarity with this company since his presence in Pars Oil and Gas Company, expressed his appreciation to be alongside with Mr. Zeighami as an individual with years of experience in the oil industry and add that: “IOEC is one of the unique groups in the field of offshore activities, including the EPCI projects of oil and gas platforms and pipelines in the region, and because of my past presence in operatorship companies such as Pars Oil and Gas Company, I am closely acquainted with the performance of this company in various fields, including the construction and installation of platforms and jackets, as well as the activities of the company’s vessels, which will facilitate the management of the organization.
According to the company’s public relations, the chairman of the board of directors of Oil Industry Pension Funds, at the end of the meeting, while thanking the former CEO and the former board of directors members of the company, wished them success in the career ahead; and added that with the presence of the new board of director members and management team of this proud company, which today is one of the honors of the country and a reliable and trustworthy asset for the country’s oil industry, will continue its effective activities with cooperation, empathy, scientific work and a strong spirit, because of the fact that IOEC is a unite corporate which will not succeed except with effort and effort.
